Sittings take place at my home studio in the Columbia, SC area. I am grateful to have clients travel from throughout the US for their portrait sittings. My teaching background has helped me tremendously, as a professional photographer. My sittings are quick and fun for children. I believe that making the environment comfortable and fun for the child, will be reflected in the outcome of the photo gallery.
All sittings are photographed indoors, using professional studio lighting. After your session you will receive a proof gallery of the best images from your session. The intent of these sittings is to provide heirloom prints to display in your home. Because it is important to me that you receive the best reflection of my work, I do not offer high resolution digital images. My pricing structure is easy to understand and includes a fine art print from your session, perfect to display in your home. Additional prints are available to purchase, as well.

When I cull through images after a session, I try not to always pull the “standard” smiling, head on shots. I really am drawn toward the expressions and images that we can’t tell a child to show us: Belly laughs, a shy expression, the look of curiosity and wonder. It is all there for me to document, and I think my ability to recognize these tiny microseconds, is my greatest strength as a photographer. These are the moments I want to remember as a mother.
